St. Louis, Missouri, United States, June 2025 – Schnuck Markets, Inc. has announced the appointment of Bob Lockett as its new Chief People Officer, effective June 16, 2025. In his new role, Lockett will lead the company’s human resources strategy, overseeing key functions such as teammate benefits, talent acquisition and retention, labor relations, training and development, and culture initiatives. He will also become a member of the company’s Strategy Team, the executive leadership group responsible for steering Schnucks’ long-term vision and execution.
With over 25 years of experience in human resources leadership, Lockett brings deep expertise from previous roles including Chief People Officer at CAE and Chief Diversity and Talent Officer at ADP. His career also includes leadership positions at Harrah’s Entertainment, USAA, Limited Brands, and Frito-Lay, where he cultivated people-first practices and data-driven HR innovation.
Welcoming Lockett to the team, David Bell, Schnucks Executive Vice President – Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, said, “As a seasoned HR executive with a wealth of industry knowledge, a modern data-driven approach, and a passionate belief in loving where you work and the importance of finding joy in what we do, we’re excited to welcome Bob to the Schnucks team. A St. Louis-area native, Lockett earned his MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He also completed executive education at Harvard Business School. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Lockett served ten years on active duty, including leadership roles such as Platoon Leader, Staff Officer, and Battery Commander, and is a Desert Storm veteran.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Lockett is committed to community and veteran affairs. He serves on the board of the Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund, is an advisor to the Griffin Bridges Program, and holds lifetime memberships in the American Legion, VFW, and National Black MBA Association.
