Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2025 – Setare Irani Degamwala has been promoted to Vice President – People & Culture at GIST Impact, marking a significant milestone in her distinguished HR leadership journey. In her new capacity, Setare will continue to spearhead people strategies, organizational development, and culture transformation for one of the world’s leading impact data and analytics providers.
Setare joined GIST Impact in late 2023 as Director – People & Culture, where she was instrumental in shaping talent management frameworks and strengthening the company’s employee experience. Her efforts over the past year and a half have laid the foundation for a high-performance, values-driven culture as GIST Impact rapidly expands its global footprint.
Prior to GIST Impact, Setare served for over five years at IdeateLabs in progressive leadership roles, most recently as Chief Human Resources Officer. Here, she oversaw the full HR function and championed people and culture initiatives that enabled the organization to scale and innovate. She was also Head – People & Culture at IdeateLabs, leading transformative HR programs across the company.
Before her time at IdeateLabs, Setare was Head – People & Culture at Creativeland Asia, where she designed and executed talent strategies to drive business and creative growth. Her earlier roles include senior HR positions at The 120 Media Collective, McKinsey & Company (Talent Acquisition), and Lighthouse Asia Pacific Pvt Ltd, where she built deep expertise in talent acquisition, HR operations, and team leadership.
Setare’s career began with foundational HR roles at Datamatics Global Services, Tata Consultancy Services, and eFunds, where she developed strong capabilities in recruitment, research, and customer engagement across diverse business environments.
