Dublin, Ireland, June 2025 – Terry McDonnell has taken on a new leadership role as Head of Talent Acquisition – Europe at Apex Group Ltd, a move that highlights his rapid career progression and proven expertise in the financial services industry. In this elevated position, Terry will lead the European talent acquisition strategy, overseeing strategic hiring across multiple countries and business lines including Fund Services, Corporate Solutions, Asset Management Solutions, ESG and Sustainability Services, and more.
Over nearly three years at Apex Group Ltd, Terry has established himself as a pivotal talent leader. Most recently, as AVP, Talent Acquisition Team Lead EMEA, he drove strategic hiring initiatives, built high-performing recruitment teams, and partnered closely with senior leaders to deliver on global talent mandates. He also played a central role in strengthening employer branding and ensuring an inclusive, data-driven, and seamless candidate experience for executive and mid-level talent across the region.
Before this, Terry served as Talent Acquisition Specialist at Apex Group Ltd, where he managed the end-to-end recruitment process, executed strategic sourcing, and optimized recruitment workflows in line with business goals. His strong focus on stakeholder collaboration, process efficiency, and candidate engagement contributed to building a robust talent pipeline that supported the firm’s international growth.
Earlier in his career, Terry held key roles at Phoenix – Your Professional Search Partner, leading executive search projects for functional and senior leadership positions in the professional services sector. He further developed his operational expertise as Operations Technical Specialist at Allianz Care, managing quality audits, training, and customer experience enhancements across global teams.
In his early professional journey, Terry gained valuable experience in customer service, coaching, and retail operations with organizations such as permanent tsb, Power Soccer, Intersport Elverys, and River Island, shaping his leadership style and people-first approach.
