Gurugram, Haryana, India, July 2025 – Anubhav Sood has taken on a new leadership role as Vice President, Human Resources – Learning & Development at Axis Max Life Insurance Limited. In this elevated position, Anubhav will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide learning strategies, leadership development initiatives, and future-ready capability building across the organization.
Over the past five years at Axis Max Life Insurance, Anubhav has led key transformation projects in the learning domain. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Training Head – Axis Bancassurance, where he managed large-scale capability development programs, aligning learning with business performance across sales channels.
Prior to this, he held the position of Assistant Vice President & Head of Capability Building for Direct Sales Force, IMF, and Defence, where he successfully enhanced frontline readiness, leadership development, and distribution effectiveness. His strategic initiatives played a critical role in modernizing training methodologies and embedding a culture of continuous learning.
Earlier in his journey, Anubhav worked as a Key Account Manager – Customer Advisory Team, contributing to sales enablement and learning strategy design. Before rejoining Max Life, he served at Max Skill First Limited as Zone Training Head – Max Healthcare Relationship, where he implemented customer-centric training programs and talent management frameworks.
Anubhav began his career in L&D with Max Life Insurance as Regional Manager, Learning & Development – Agency, and prior to that, he honed his foundational training experience at American Express as a Training Specialist. He holds a postgraduate degree in Human Resources Management from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).
