Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2025 – Aparna Passi has taken on a new role as Head – Corporate HR – Talent Management – Behavioral Learning – OD – OE at ABC – Aditya Birla Housing Finance Limited. In her expanded capacity, she will lead key people strategy initiatives, overseeing talent management, behavioral learning programs, and driving organization development and effectiveness. Aparna’s proven expertise in cultural transformation and strategic HR practices will be instrumental in supporting the company’s continued growth and people-centric agenda.
In her most recent role at Aditya Birla Capital, Aparna spent over three years as the Lead HRBP for Wholesale Business Solutions, overseeing HR strategy across multiple units including Project Infrastructure Finance, Emerging Growth Clients, and Large Corporates. She was deeply involved in leadership development, audit & compliance HR functions, and behavioral learning interventions, aligning talent strategy with long-term business growth.
Before joining Aditya Birla Capital, she served as Director of Human Resources at Marriott International at JW Marriott Sahar, Mumbai. Earlier, Aparna founded Third Arm Consulting, where she worked on HR advisory services, exit analytics, performance management, and delivered corporate and campus learning interventions across India. She also gained recognition as a speaker at institutions like IIM Jammu and Rosary College, Goa.
Earlier in her career, Aparna held the position of Assistant General Manager – Senior HRBP at Kalpataru Limited, where she was responsible for driving performance appraisals, HR analytics, and launching the Kalpataru Sales Academy. She also managed initiatives in OD, training, talent acquisition, and employee engagement.
A significant part of her journey was with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, where she spent nearly six years across various HR and training roles, including Senior Manager – Human Resources, and Training Manager at properties like The Oberoi Dubai and Trident Nariman Point. Her innovative training programs and leadership in induction, diversity, and behavioral skills training were widely recognized within the group.
Aparna began her career in the hospitality sector with operational leadership roles at Marriott International and The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata, including managing F&B outlets and large banqueting operations. These early experiences laid a solid foundation for her people-centric leadership style.
She holds a Post Graduate Certification in Human Resources from XLRI Jamshedpur, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Hospitality Administration from The Oberoi Centre of Learning & Development.
