Zurich, Switzerland, July 2025 – Stefan Weingärtner has been confirmed in the expanded role of Director, Global People Technology at Amcor, following the recent merger with Berry Global. In this elevated capacity, Stefan will lead the People Technology function across a significantly broader technological and operational landscape, collaborating with teams across Europe and the US to support internal customers globally.
Over the past nearly four years at Amcor, Stefan has driven major transformations in HR technology. Most recently, he served as Director, Global People Technology – HR Operations, where he led the strategy and execution of Amcor’s global HR systems, including SAP SuccessFactors, WorkForce, and WalkMe platforms. His leadership played a pivotal role in harmonizing HR processes, driving system adoption, and enhancing operational efficiency across global teams.
Prior to this, Stefan worked as Global HR Solutions & Digitalization Lead at Barry Callebaut Group, where he led the global “100% Digital HR” initiative and managed a suite of global platforms such as SuccessFactors, ATOSS, and PeopleDoc. He spearheaded HR digitization efforts while leading cross-functional teams and driving technology implementation and change management across the business.
Earlier, Stefan served in roles such as Senior Solution Consultant at Promerit, HR Consultant at Sonio AG, and IT Project Manager at Felix Platter-Spital. Across these roles, he honed his skills in HRIS design, project leadership, and systems implementation, focusing on recruiting, employee central, compensation, and more.
Stefan’s career began in IT services, with positions at Actelion, IBM, BTC IT-Services AG, and T-Systems Schweiz AG, where he led IT infrastructure, user support, and enterprise system rollouts, laying a strong technical foundation for his transition into global HR technology leadership.
