Hanoi, Vietnam, July 2025 – Pham Sanh Chau has taken on the role of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer – VinGroup Asia Operations at Vingroup, marking a significant leadership elevation within one of Asia’s most influential private conglomerates. In this role, Pham Sanh Chau will be responsible for spearheading Vingroup’s strategic growth and operational excellence across Asia, building on the Group’s deep presence in real estate, smart mobility, education, healthcare, and consumer technology.
Prior to this appointment, Pham Sanh Chau served as CEO of VinFast Asia Operations, where he led regional business expansion and market penetration efforts. He also held the position of CEO at VinFast India, playing a crucial role in launching and scaling the brand’s operations in the Indian market, with a strong emphasis on localization and electric mobility adoption.
He concurrently serves as Vice Chairman of the Europe-Asia Center in Brussels, reflecting his continued engagement in fostering international partnerships and dialogue. His career in diplomacy includes being a Lifetime Ambassador of Vietnam, and he previously served as Ambassador to India, where he strengthened bilateral ties between Vietnam and India during his four-year tenure.
Earlier, Pham Sanh Chau held high-ranking roles including Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister’s Special Envoy, and Secretary General of Vietnam’s UNESCO National Commission. He also served as Ambassador to the European Union and Ambassador to Belgium, showcasing a distinguished international career in policy, diplomacy, and cultural exchange.
Earlier roles include his tenure as Vice Chancellor of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, and leadership roles within UNESCO, including serving as Vietnam’s Permanent Delegate to UNESCO in Paris. His career reflects a rare blend of public diplomacy, international relations, and corporate leadership, now directed towards scaling Vingroup’s regional impact.
