Ranjeeka Sachdev appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at BMW Group India

Gurugram, Haryana, India, July 2025 — Ranjeeka Sachdev has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at BMW Group India, marking a strategic leadership addition as the company continues its journey of innovation, performance, and inclusive growth. In her new role, she will spearhead the company’s HR strategy with a focus on organizational transformation, talent management, HR digitization, and fostering a diverse and inclusive culture aligned with BMW’s global values.

Before joining BMW Group India, Ranjeeka served as CHRO at Jaquar Group, where she played a pivotal role in advancing people-centric strategies, aligning HR practices with business objectives, and promoting leadership development. Her impactful tenure emphasized driving HR innovation and embedding culture across a fast-growing organization.

Her most extensive stint was with Pernod Ricard, where she spent over 16 years, holding multiple leadership roles, including General Manager – HR, South Asia. During this time, she led initiatives spanning inclusion & diversity, learning and development, performance management, and strategic workforce planning across South Asia. She worked closely with global and regional leadership to shape people strategies and employee engagement.

Earlier in her career, she built a strong HR foundation through roles at Gap Inc., Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., and Maruti Suzuki India Limited, where she contributed to talent acquisition, employee development, compensation, and internal communications. These formative experiences provided her with diverse exposure across HR functions and industries.

Ranjeeka holds an MBA in Human Resources from the International Management Institute, a Master of Laws (LLM) from Lloyd Law College, and has completed HR-focused programs from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and INSEAD. She also holds a B.Com in Costing from Symbiosis International University and is an alumna of Loyola School.
