United States, July 2025 – LaMonica Cooper Goodwin has been promoted to Vice President Human Resources, IBM Consulting Americas at IBM, marking a significant step in her global HR leadership journey. In her new role, LaMonica will partner closely with executive leadership across North and South America to lead HR strategy, workforce transformation, and talent innovation for the IBM Consulting business.
LaMonica’s promotion follows her impactful international assignment as Director HR, IBM Consulting Asia Pacific, where she spent two and a half years based in Singapore. There, she supported consulting leaders across the region while fostering business alignment and cultural growth. Her time in APAC was marked by her strategic leadership and her ability to bridge global business priorities with local execution.
Before her APAC role, LaMonica served as Director HR, GBS Hybrid Cloud Services and Workforce Management, and earlier as HR Business Unit Leader and Senior HR Business Partner for IBM Cloud. In each of these positions, she played a pivotal role in shaping IBM’s evolving hybrid workforce strategy and enabling business transformation through talent.
Prior to this, she held multiple HR leadership roles within IBM, including Global Acquisition Staffing Leader and Senior HR Business Partner, in both Atlanta and Philadelphia. She also brought external HR leadership experience from Georgia-Pacific LLC, where she was HR Manager for the IT function.
Earlier in her career, LaMonica served in several core HR roles at IBM, including HR Business Partner for Global Technology Services, Equal Opportunity and Compliance Account Manager, and Staffing Representative—building a strong foundation in compliance, inclusion, and workforce planning.
