Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, August 2025 – Amit Bajaj has been appointed as Managing Director and Global Head of Corporate Affairs and Public Policy at Essar Capital. With over 25 years of experience in corporate affairs, government relations, and public policy, Amit is recognized for his ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and foster strategic relationships with policymakers, regulators, and industry bodies across Asia-Pacific, North America, and Europe.

This appointment marks Amit’s return to the Essar Group, where he previously held a leadership role. Most recently, he served as Senior President of Corporate Affairs at Aditya Birla Group, where he aligned public policy strategies with global business objectives and worked extensively on stakeholder engagement across diverse industry verticals.

In his new role at Essar Capital, Amit will be responsible for leading the company’s global corporate affairs and public policy strategy, strengthening partnerships with key stakeholders, and driving policy advocacy in renewable energy, green mobility, infrastructure, and digital innovation. His expertise is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing Essar’s growth vision and sustainability agenda.

A seasoned leader with a global outlook, Amit’s experience and deep understanding of policy-making processes will support Essar Capital’s commitment to shaping transformative sectoral changes and fostering long-term value creation.
