Bangalore, Karnataka, India, August 2025 – Vinod T. Varghese has been appointed as Group Chief Human Resources Officer at Healthium Medtech Limited, bringing with him over 27 years of HR leadership experience across FMCG, Financial Services, Consulting, IT & ITeS, Industrial Products, and EPC sectors. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving the company’s global HR strategy, talent development, leadership growth, and employee engagement to support Healthium Medtech’s mission of providing “Access to precision medtech for every patient, globally.”
Prior to joining Healthium Medtech Limited, Vinod served as Human Resources Director for the India Cluster at ALSTOM TRANSPORT for around seven years, overseeing five legal entities including Alstom Transport India Limited, Alstom Systems India Pvt. Ltd., Alstom Manufacturing India Pvt. Ltd., Bombardier Transportation India Pvt. Ltd., and Madhepura Electric Locomotive Pvt. Ltd. He also held the position of Whole-Time Director on the Board of Alstom Transport India Limited, leading strategic HR initiatives, post-merger integration, and talent engagement programs across diverse business operations.
Before his tenure at Alstom, Vinod worked with 3M for about five years, holding multiple leadership positions including Asia Talent Development Manager & SEA Talent Development Leader, Asia Talent Development Manager, and Head – HR Business Partner, India. In these roles, he spearheaded regional talent development initiatives, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement strategies, partnering closely with business heads and HR centers of excellence.
Earlier in his career, Vinod served as Associate Director – Human Resources at Colt Technology Services for nearly three years, managing HR operations, employee engagement, talent acquisition, and L&D for the Bangalore site. He also spent about five years at Ernst & Young Pvt. Ltd. as Regional HR Head – South India, Leader – India Talent Acquisition, and HR Business Partner – Tax, leading large teams across talent acquisition, HR operations, and performance management.
Vinod began his career at Shaw Wallace & Company Ltd. where he gained foundational experience in industrial relations, statutory compliance, and HR operations. He later joined HSBC Ltd. as Associate Vice President – Human Resources, where he was responsible for talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations in Bangalore. Over the years, he has consistently demonstrated expertise in strategic HR planning, leadership development, succession management, change management, and post-merger HR integration, partnering with senior leaders across geographies to drive high-performing teams.
