Boston, Massachusetts, United States, August 2025 – Sherry Lee has been named Head of Human Resources at Sanguine Biosciences, a pioneer in patient-centered biomedical research and biospecimen solutions. In her new role, Sherry will oversee all facets of human resources strategy, people operations, and cultural initiatives as the company continues scaling its impact in personalized medicine and clinical research partnerships.
Before joining Sanguine Biosciences, Sherry worked as a Human Resources Consultant under her own venture, SRL Consulting, where she advised for-profit and nonprofit organizations on HR projects such as incentive plan design, compensation benchmarking, team building, leadership development, and compliance audits. Her ability to deliver tailored HR solutions positioned her as a trusted partner across industries.
Earlier, she was Senior Director of Human Resources at NextStage Clinical Research, where she built the HR function from the ground up for a multi-state clinical research company. She led the implementation of core HR systems, developed the company’s employment brand, introduced stay interviews and metrics, and partnered with senior leadership on change management and organizational design during a period of rapid transformation.
Prior to that, Sherry spent over three years at Javara, serving as Senior Director and HR Business Partner after initially joining as Director of Human Resources. She played a key role in scaling HR infrastructure for a company experiencing 200% employee growth, while developing robust compliance frameworks and strategic workforce programs.
For over 15 years, she served as VP/Chief Human Resources Officer at the YMCA of NWNC, where she transformed HR from an administrative function into a strategic business unit. Her tenure saw the implementation of comprehensive talent management and learning and development systems for a large nonprofit organization.
Sherry also brings early-career experience from Wachovia (now Wells Fargo), where she worked in compensation consulting and diversity analytics. Her background includes work in marketing research, giving her a strong foundation in analytical thinking and stakeholder engagement.
