Yangon Region, Myanmar, September 2025 – Soe Sandar Aye (Sophia) has taken on a new leadership role as AVP, Head of People at Oway.com.mm, Myanmar’s leading travel company. In this capacity, she is spearheading people-centric strategies that drive growth, engagement, and cultural transformation in alignment with Oway’s mission to revolutionize the travel ecosystem in Myanmar.
Prior to joining Oway, Soe Sandar Aye served as the Human Resource Division Head at AEON Credit Service (Asia) Co., Ltd. for approximately six years. In this role, she led key initiatives around organizational effectiveness, employee well-being, HR strategy execution, and stakeholder engagement, including close collaboration with the Central Bank of Myanmar.
Before that, she spent over three years as Senior Human Resources Manager at Royal British International Co. Ltd., where she was responsible for comprehensive HR functions including talent acquisition, learning & development, CSR programming, and stakeholder management with embassies and government officials.
Her earlier experience includes over six years with KUMON Asia & Oceania Ltd. and Zaw Ko Tour Agency, progressing from Senior Administrator to HR Manager, where she managed full-cycle HR responsibilities, compensation planning, onboarding, and policy development.
She began her professional career as a Secretary at Nile Construction Co., Ltd., where she gained strong foundations in administration, scheduling, and stakeholder communications. Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to driving people-first cultures with strategic alignment across multiple sectors.
