Seattle, Washington, United States, October 2025 — Ranju Das has started a new position as Chief Technology and AI Officer at lululemon. In his new role, he will drive technology strategy and artificial intelligence innovation to enhance digital transformation, operational efficiency, and customer experience across the global brand.
Prior to joining lululemon, Ranju served as Chief Executive Officer at SWAN AI Studios, where he led the company’s vision and execution in artificial intelligence, building solutions that bridged enterprise needs with cutting-edge AI capabilities.
Before that, he was Chief Executive Officer of OptumLabs at UnitedHealth Group, where he oversaw large-scale research and development initiatives, advancing healthcare innovation through data-driven technology.
Earlier, Ranju spent eight years at Amazon, serving as General Manager of Amazon AI Services and leading Amazon Prime Photos. His leadership was instrumental in expanding Amazon’s AI and cloud-based offerings, including scalable consumer and enterprise solutions.
Ranju also built a strong foundation during his twelve-year tenure at Barnes & Noble, where he directed technology functions such as Nook, Data Engineering, and Database Administration. Additionally, he gained early leadership and entrepreneurial experience as Co-Founder & CEO of scubes Inc, as well as through roles with FootofGod.com and Synergy Login Systems.
