Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2025 – Ankur Jhaveri has been named the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Institutional Equities Division at JM Financial Ltd, bringing over 20 years of experience in equity and derivatives trading, strategic communications, and multi-asset trading. In his new role, Ankur will spearhead the growth of JM Financial’s institutional equities division, driving innovation and delivering value to clients in a competitive financial landscape.
Before joining JM Financial, Ankur held leadership roles at Axis Capital Ltd. for over four years. As Managing Director, he led strategic initiatives to enhance client engagement and expand business operations. Previously, as Head of Derivatives, he strengthened the firm’s position in derivatives trading, emphasizing client-focused strategies and risk management.

Prior to Axis Capital, Ankur served for seven years at Edelweiss Financial Services Limited as Head of Derivatives and Head of Multi-Asset Trading, where he specialized in listed securities and derivatives. His tenure was marked by significant contributions to enhancing operational efficiency and deepening client relationships.
Ankur’s earlier career includes roles as a Sales Trader at HSBC Securities, ICICI Securities, and Mangroup PLC, where he honed his expertise in equity and derivatives sales, client communication, and risk management. His career began at Edelweiss Capital Ltd, where he served as a Relationship Manager in the Private Client Group, gaining foundational experience in non-institutional client services.
