New Jersey, United States, September 2025 — Curtiss Dakpogan has stepped into the role of Chief Operating Officer at APM Terminals Elizabeth, part of APM Terminals, where he will oversee the strategic and operational functions of one of the leading container terminal facilities in the United States.
Before this appointment, Curtiss was Chief Operating Officer at Meridian Port Services Ltd., based in Accra, Ghana, where he successfully led large-scale terminal operations, strengthening customer satisfaction and driving strategic initiatives across West Africa.
Earlier, he held the role of Regional Operations Manager for Africa, Middle East & Asia at APM Terminals in Dubai, where he was responsible for optimizing performance and operational excellence across multiple geographies.
Curtiss also gained significant leadership exposure with APM Terminals, COMAN SA in Cotonou, where he progressed through senior operational roles, including Operations General Manager and Assistant Operations Manager. In these positions, he played a critical role in enhancing productivity, ensuring safe working conditions, and aligning operational strategies with business objectives.
He began his career with APM Terminals as a Cost Controller, where he focused on cost management, compliance, and procurement efficiency, laying the foundation for his long-standing career in global port operations and logistics.
