Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, April 2026 — Magdi Batato has been appointed as an Independent Director on the Board of Agthia Group PJSC, where he will serve on both the Audit Committee and the Investment Committee. In this role, he will contribute to strengthening governance, financial oversight, and strategic investment decisions for one of the region’s leading food and beverage companies.
Alongside this appointment, Magdi Batato continues to hold several global advisory and board roles, including Senior Business Advisor at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Executive Council Member at o9 Solutions, and Executive in Residence at IMD. He is also a Board Member at Carlsberg Group and serves as Chairman at IDH, reflecting his strong global influence across industries.
Prior to his current portfolio of roles, Magdi Batato spent over eight years with Nestlé as Executive Vice President, Head of Operations, where he led global operations for one of the world’s largest food companies. His tenure at Nestlé spans over two decades across multiple leadership roles, including Managing Director – Nestlé Pakistan, Group Technical and Production Director, and Executive Director Production – Nestlé Malaysia, demonstrating deep expertise in global manufacturing, supply chain, and operations.
Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles across Nestlé’s global operations, including assignments in South Africa, Germany, and Switzerland, building a strong foundation in production, operations management, and technical leadership. He began his professional journey in academia as an Assistant Professor at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), before transitioning into industry leadership.
