Singapore, April 2026 — Vinay Awasthi has joined AMD as Senior Vice President – Asia Pacific, Japan & India (APJ) Sales, where he will lead the company’s regional sales strategy and execution across one of the fastest-growing technology markets globally. In this role, he will focus on driving growth through AMD’s broad portfolio of products and solutions while strengthening partnerships across APJ and India.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Vinay Awasthi shared that he is excited to be part of one of the most innovative companies globally and looks forward to working with AMD’s teams and partner ecosystem to expand its value proposition across the region.
Prior to joining AMD, Vinay Awasthi served as SVP and Global Head of Compute Sales at Qualcomm, where he led global sales initiatives for compute solutions. Before that, he spent over eight years at HP, where he held multiple senior leadership roles including SVP & Managing Director, Greater Asia, Worldwide Head of Print Supply Chain Operations, and Senior Vice President for key regional businesses.
During his tenure at HP and Hewlett-Packard Singapore, he managed multi-billion-dollar portfolios across personal systems and commercial product segments, successfully driving market share growth and executing large-scale regional strategies across Asia Pacific and Japan. His leadership experience reflects a strong ability to manage complex global businesses and deliver sustained growth.
Earlier in his career, Vinay Awasthi held leadership roles at Hewlett-Packard in both India and the United States, contributing to product strategy and market leadership in the PC segment. He also worked with Motorola and LG Electronics, where he built a strong foundation in product management, sales, and global business operations.
He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, bringing a strong academic foundation to his extensive leadership experience spanning over two decades.
