This transition marks a key milestone in his professional journey, reflecting his continued commitment to creating meaningful, scalable impact across business functions and the broader agri ecosystem.
Vishvender Malik has been with UPL for over four years, where he has played a pivotal role in building and scaling the company’s HR capabilities across its global operations. In his most recent role as HR Head – Global Tech Functions (IT, Digital & Analytics) & Specialty Chemical Business, he led the setup and expansion of UPL’s Global Digital & Analytics Center of Excellence, driving organizational design, recruitment, and change management initiatives. He also spearheaded UPL’s IT Transformation Journey, focusing on restructuring, talent assessment, and capability building to strengthen a future-ready technology function.
Earlier at UPL, he served as Lead – Strategic HR Projects & HRBP (Specialty Chemicals Business), where he contributed to scaling the Specialty Chemicals Business through capability development, transition management, and strategic HR initiatives, including competency models, recognition platforms, and employer branding programs.
Before joining UPL, Vishvender worked with Deloitte Consulting for nearly three years, where he served as Senior Consultant – HR Transformation. His work spanned HR analytics frameworks, LMS implementation, operating model design, and talent acquisition modernization for leading PSUs and private sector clients, enhancing HR effectiveness through technology and data-driven insights.
Earlier in his career, he spent over two years with Reliance Industries Limited, where he worked on HR Strategy & Transformation, designing new operating models and implementing predictive analytics frameworks to enhance employee experience. He also contributed to HR operations and policy governance as part of the company’s strategic HR initiatives.
Vishvender’s professional journey began with experiences at organizations such as Mahindra Partners, YSC Consulting (part of Accenture), Siemens, Maersk Group, and Parle Products Pvt. Ltd., where he built expertise in HR analytics, competency mapping, and organizational restructuring. He holds an MBA in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), one of India’s premier institutions for HR education.
