With a career spanning nearly three decades, Girish brings extensive leadership experience across housing finance, retail lending, and risk management, making him well-positioned to steer the company’s next phase of growth.
In his most recent role, Girish served as MD & CEO of PNB Housing Finance Limited, where he successfully led transformation initiatives and drove sustainable business expansion. His strategic leadership strengthened governance, improved asset quality, and enhanced stakeholder confidence.
Previously, he played a pivotal role at Can Fin Homes Limited, where his leadership was instrumental in scaling operations, improving portfolio quality, and driving customer-centric growth. His experience there showcased his ability to balance operational rigor with growth ambitions in a highly competitive sector.
Before that, Girish contributed to the growth of Tata Capital as Head of Retail Credit & Risk and at IDFC FIRST Bank as EVP & Head of Risk – Bharat & Bharat Plus Banking, where he deepened his expertise in rural banking, SME, and retail asset management. These experiences enhanced his ability to craft risk strategies aligned with sustainable growth.
His long tenure at ICICI Bank across various leadership roles in mortgages, agri-finance, retail credit, and rural lending built a strong foundation in financial services. Earlier stints at HDFC Limited and Karvy Consultants Limited further shaped his expertise in lending, loan appraisal, and merchant banking, giving him a 360-degree understanding of the financial services ecosystem.
