Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, October 2025 — Wockhardt Hospitals Ltd has appointed Unmesh Deshpande as Head of Information Technology (Infrastructure). Bringing with him over three decades of expertise in IT leadership, healthcare technology, and infrastructure transformation, he will spearhead Wockhardt’s technology roadmap with a focus on scalability, security, and future readiness.
In his new role, Unmesh will oversee critical initiatives such as GenNXT IT landscape transformation, perimeter security, remote access solutions, and Active Directory forest design. His leadership will play a key role in ensuring a secure and agile digital ecosystem that supports both clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
Prior to joining Wockhardt Hospitals, Unmesh founded CaaS | CTO As A Service, where he provided advisory and technology leadership to organizations across healthcare and enterprise IT landscapes. His entrepreneurial vision centered on creating a confluence of technology, strategy, and innovation to help organizations scale with confidence.
Previously, he served as CTO at Kingsway Hospitals, where he architected digital ecosystems capable of supporting complex healthcare operations and drove innovation across IT governance. His advisory engagements at Timus Solutions and leadership tenure at KareXpert further demonstrate his ability to design transformative healthcare IT solutions and optimize patient care through technology.
Earlier in his career, Unmesh held senior leadership roles at DWise Healthcare IT Solutions, Persistent Systems, VXL Instruments Ltd, and Unisonic Consultants, where he contributed to enterprise-level IT architecture, healthcare technology solutions, and global infrastructure design. His deep-rooted experience in project management, IT governance, and healthcare IT has established him as a trusted leader in the sector.
