Mumbai,Maharashtra, India, September 2025 — Hemant Bakshi has been appointed as Managing Director and Global CEO of EPL Limited, a Blackstone-backed global leader in specialty packaging. In this role, he will drive the company’s global strategy, strengthen market presence, and accelerate sustainable growth across its diverse portfolio.

Hemant brings with him over three decades of rich experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of OlaConsumer, overseeing one of India’s largest e-commerce businesses with significant operations spanning ride-hailing, financial services, logistics, and commerce. His leadership was instrumental in scaling the business and steering innovation across multiple consumer touchpoints.

Before OlaConsumer, Hemant spent over 15 years at Unilever, where he held prominent leadership positions across India, Indonesia, and Singapore. As President Director of PT. Unilever Indonesia, he led the company to become one of the most valuable listed organizations in Indonesia, while driving sustainability through the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan. He later served as EVP of Unilever Marketplace, expanding its innovative B2B platform across 12 countries in Asia, Latin America, and Africa. Under his leadership, the platform achieved a Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) of $1 billion within two years, directly connecting over 250,000 small retailers with FMCG giants such as Unilever, Heineken, and Coca-Cola.

His proven track record in digital commerce, sustainability, and emerging markets makes him well-positioned to lead EPL Limited into its next phase of global expansion.
