Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, October 2025 — ECS Project Logistics has announced the appointment of Colin Mc Guinness as its new Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Colin will oversee national operations, strategic growth initiatives, and the continued enhancement of ECS’s service delivery across the energy, resources, and infrastructure sectors in Australia. His leadership will be pivotal in optimizing operational performance, strengthening partnerships, and driving innovation in large-scale logistics projects nationwide.
Colin has been a key part of ECS Project Logistics for nearly eight years, having joined the organization in 2017. Over the years, he has steadily advanced through multiple leadership roles. Most recently, he served as National Director of Oil, Gas, and Energy Services, where he was instrumental in expanding ECS’s footprint in Australia’s critical energy markets. Prior to that, as Managing Director – East and Central Australia, he led regional growth, ensuring the successful delivery of complex project logistics solutions while strengthening operational standards and client relationships.
Earlier in his tenure at ECS, Colin served as General Manager, Project Logistics, where he managed large-scale, high-value logistics projects across Australia. His leadership in this role contributed significantly to ECS’s reputation for precision, reliability, and safety in the transport and logistics domain.
Before joining ECS, Colin held several senior operational and project management roles within Australia’s logistics sector. At LIFT Holdings Pty Ltd, he served as Projects and Operations Manager, overseeing budgeting, resource planning, OHSE compliance, and business development. He also spent over seven years with ITAC Services (Aust) Pty Ltd, where he rose from Cargo Superintendent to Manager, Global Operations, leading complex domestic and international drilling rig transport projects and expanding the company’s revenue from $20 million to over $65 million annually.
Earlier in his career, Colin held roles with Mainport Africa Shipping, King & Sons as Vessel Agent and Cargo Superintendent, South African Fruit Terminals as Cold Store Manager, and Consolidated Sprinkler Systems, where he managed full-scale business operations. He began his professional journey as a Leading Seaman Mechanic in the South African Navy, where he gained foundational experience in discipline, technical systems, and team leadership.
