Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, November 2025 — Prabu Rambadran has joined Razorpay as the Senior Vice President of Engineering, bringing with him nearly two decades of global leadership experience in building and scaling enterprise, cloud, and distributed systems. In his new role, Prabu will focus on strengthening engineering excellence, accelerating product innovation, and driving scalability across Razorpay’s fintech solutions, as the company continues to power India’s digital financial infrastructure.
Prabu joins Razorpay from Google, where he served as Senior Director of Engineering and led global engineering teams based in India, San Francisco, and Seattle. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in developing and managing planet-scale infrastructure, including the Google API Platform, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Resource Management & Governance systems. His leadership contributed to the launch of multiple zero-to-one cloud security and infrastructure products that enhanced secure cloud experiences for enterprises worldwide.
Prior to Google, Prabu held key senior engineering leadership roles at Nutanix, driving the development and scaling of products such as Nutanix Files (Distributed File Storage), Nutanix Move (Application Cloud Mobility), and Cluster Health. His work contributed to expanding Nutanix’s hybrid cloud and enterprise storage capabilities across global markets.
Earlier, he spent over nine years at Microsoft, where he contributed to core platform engineering across Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, and System Center. His work spanned technical product leadership, distributed systems, virtualization, and enterprise-grade security features.
Prabu began his career as a software engineer at LifeCare Technologies before moving into platform-level engineering roles. With a proven track record in leading high-performance teams across diverse technology environments, Prabu’s appointment strengthens Razorpay’s commitment to building highly resilient, secure, and scalable financial technology infrastructure for millions of Indian businesses.
