Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, November 2025 — The Gund Company, a global leader in engineered material solutions, has announced the appointment of Cara Matchett as its new Director of Talent Management. In this strategic leadership role, Cara will oversee the design and execution of global talent management strategies, focusing on employee development, organizational effectiveness, and leadership capability enhancement across the company’s 13 worldwide facilities.
Cara brings over a decade of rich experience in talent management, learning and development, and organizational design across diverse industries. Prior to joining The Gund Company, she served as Senior Talent Development Manager at Sodexo, where she led enterprise-wide initiatives to strengthen employee engagement and career development programs. Her efforts contributed to advancing leadership effectiveness and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Before Sodexo, Cara worked as a Talent Management Consultant with CBRE, where she provided strategic support for talent and performance management frameworks on a global scale. Earlier, she held a similar consulting role at Allied Solutions LLC, where she specialized in learning strategy, competency mapping, and employee enablement.
Her foundational years were spent at ADESA (now OPENLANE), where she served as Training & Documentation Specialist and Talent Management Specialist, responsible for designing and implementing learning systems, digital training content, and LMS administration. She began her professional journey as an Elementary Educator at Carmel Clay Schools, an experience that shaped her people-centric approach and passion for development.
Cara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana, where she also served as Special Events Assistant. Her early leadership exposure at Saint Mary’s and the University of Notre Dame camps laid the groundwork for her lifelong dedication to learning and mentorship.
