Mumbai, Maharashtra, India – November 2025 — Rahul Choudaha has joined the University of Aberdeen – Mumbai as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Senior Professor, marking a significant milestone for the newly launched Mumbai campus of one of the oldest and most globally respected universities. In this dual leadership role, he will spearhead campus strategy, operations, academic excellence, and stakeholder engagement as the institution prepares for its official launch in August 2026.
As COO, Rahul Choudaha is responsible for providing strategic leadership across professional services, campus readiness, regulatory compliance, student recruitment, program execution, and operational governance. His role includes shaping a world-class learning ecosystem aligned with global standards while tailoring delivery to India’s regulatory and cultural landscape. In his professorial role, he will also contribute to academic leadership and research, with focus on global mobility, student experience, and transnational education.
Prior to joining the University of Aberdeen – Mumbai, Rahul Choudaha served at the Indian School of Business (ISB) as Head of Academic & Student Affairs, where he led teams and initiatives to strengthen academic delivery, student success, policy framework, and global program alignment. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in advancing student experience, quality assurance, technology integration, and program governance across ISB’s full-time and part-time learning pathways.
Earlier, he worked as Associate Vice President at Morning Consult, where he led engagements and insight-driven strategies supporting higher education clients. Alongside this, he served as Adjunct Professor at George Mason University – Costello College of Business, contributing to teaching and academic enrichment for business management programs.
Before this, Rahul held a pivotal role at the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) as Director, collaborating closely with global business schools to strengthen candidate pathways, institutional engagement, and student mobility insights.
Rahul’s earlier leadership at Studyportals as Executive Vice President enabled him to expand global transnational education partnerships and enhance student discovery ecosystems across markets. He later co-founded DrEducation, offering strategic advisory to institutions on enrollment, research, and global student success.
Rahul also worked with World Education Services (WES), progressing from Associate Director to Senior Director over a span of nearly seven years, driving research, thought leadership, and policy engagement to support international student mobility and credential transparency.
His career began at the Indian School of Business (ISB) in admissions, building early foundations in higher education leadership, talent pathways, and institutional processes.
