Adelaide, South Australia, Australia, December 2025 – Shikha Sharma has joined the Department for Education, South Australia as People and Culture Business Partner, marking a significant milestone in her international HR leadership journey. In her new role, she will be part of the Workforce Management: Executive & Strategic Projects team within People & Culture, contributing to strategic initiatives that shape the future of education workforce management in the region.
Prior to this, Shikha worked with the University of South Australia for two years where she held dual roles – Strategic HR Manager and Senior People Consultant. During this time, she led key HR strategies, people transformation initiatives, and stakeholder engagements that enhanced organizational effectiveness.
Before relocating to Australia, she spent over a decade with Amdocs, where she served as HR Business Lead and Senior Strategist – Organization Development. She was instrumental in delivering leadership development programs, performance interventions, and inclusive stakeholder management in a fast-paced technology environment.
Earlier in her career, she held roles at Infosys as Business Partner – Human Resources, where she focused on performance management, analytics, and employee engagement; and at The Indian Smelting & Refining Company Ltd (C.K. Birla Group) where she served as Manager-HR and Assistant Manager, contributing to T&D and HR systems enhancement.
She began her professional journey with EXL Services in Noida, gaining initial experience in training content development and instructional design.
