Richmond, Virginia, United States, December 2025 – Lori Barbour has taken on a new role as Vice President, Human Resources at HCA Healthcare, marking a significant milestone in her long-standing healthcare leadership career. In this role, she will lead people strategy and workforce operations supporting clinical excellence, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness across HCA Healthcare’s facilities in the region.
Prior to her appointment as Vice President, Lori Barbour served as HR Manager at HCA Healthcare, where she led human resources operations at Retreat Doctors’ Hospital, focusing on employee relations, workforce planning, talent management, and compliance. Her leadership strengthened people practices and supported high-quality patient care delivery.
Earlier, she spent nearly three decades with LewisGale Hospital Alleghany, where she held the role of Assistant Administrator. During this long tenure, she was deeply involved in hospital administration, operations leadership, and workforce governance, contributing to the hospital’s sustained clinical and operational performance.
Lori Barbour holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, providing a strong academic foundation for her healthcare leadership career.
