Kolkata, West Bengal, India, December 2025 — Samarpita De has been promoted to Assistant General Manager – Human Resources at Amalgam Steel & Power Limited, marking a significant milestone in her progressive HR leadership journey within the organization. In her expanded role, she will continue to lead people strategy, employee engagement, talent acquisition, and workforce development initiatives supporting the company’s fast-growing integrated steel operations.
With close to two decades of HR leadership experience in the infrastructure, steel, and manufacturing sectors, Samarpita De has built a strong reputation for strengthening workforce capability, building people-centric cultures, and driving organizational effectiveness.
She has been associated with Amalgam Steel & Power Limited for nearly three years, where she most recently served as Senior Manager – Human Resources before her elevation to AGM. During this period, she played a key role in strengthening employee engagement frameworks, executive hiring, and HR operations across plant and corporate functions.
Prior to joining Amalgam Steel, she spent over a decade with Graphite India Limited, where she progressed through HR leadership roles and contributed to talent management, employee relations, and organizational development initiatives.
Earlier in her career, she held HR and administration roles at Tractors India Private Limited (TIPL) and SPML Infra Limited, building strong expertise in personnel administration, plant HR operations, and industrial relations.
She holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from Sikkim Manipal University.
