SmartSoC Solutions Pvt Ltd., a global leader in semiconductor and embedded systems, has appointed Joydeep Chakrabarty as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Based in Bengaluru, India, Chakrabarty brings a wealth of experience and expertise to SmartSoC Solutions, where he is set to drive the HR strategy aligned with the company’s innovative growth plans.
Prior to his new role at SmartSoC Solutions, Chakrabarty held significant positions across major organizations. Most recently, he was the CHRO at Presto, a global SaaS platform for e-commerce marketplaces, where he oversaw the development of strategic HR initiatives from 2022 to 2024. During his tenure, he was instrumental in defining organizational vision and mission statements, supporting brand identification, and spearheading comprehensive HR strategies.
Before joining Presto, Chakrabarty spent over three years at Expleo Group as VP & Global HR Head for their Aero, Space, Defence & Digital business, as well as overseeing HR operations in India. His leadership was pivotal in ramping up talent from 1700 to over 4000 resources, integrating HR functions across entities, and leading significant business transformations that enhanced global operations.
Chakrabarty’s career also includes key roles at notable firms such as Daikin and Goodman Manufacturing, where he focused on people management, coaching, mentoring, and strategic HR leadership. His early experiences enriched his skills in strategic human resource planning, culture development, and organizational effectiveness, which will be invaluable in his new role at SmartSoC Solutions.
