Delhi, India, January 2026 – Tenneco has announced that Shobhit Garg has taken on a new role as Senior Director | Finance, strengthening the company’s finance leadership as it continues to drive innovation in automotive technology and mobility solutions. In this role, Shobhit will focus on enabling business strategy and strategic financial planning, strengthening internal controls, and supporting leadership decision-making across the organisation’s India operations.
Shobhit joins Tenneco after over four years with Fluence, where he held progressive finance leadership responsibilities. Most recently, he served as Director – Accounting COE | Global, where he worked on building a Global Accounting Centre of Excellence in India, driving finance process excellence across areas such as internal controls, SOX, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and financial planning.
Earlier at Fluence, he served as Finance Director | India, where he played a key role in establishing the India entity, supporting entry strategy and funding options, implementing ERP (Oracle NetSuite) with tax customisations, enabling payroll setup and compliance, and helping set up the India tech services hub and cross-charging model. He also supported business planning, budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, banking relationships, treasury, and cost and margin analysis for large-scale battery energy storage projects, alongside involvement in JV structuring and term sheet preparation. He additionally contributed at board level as a Member, Board of Directors at Fluence BESS India Pvt Limited.
Prior to Fluence, Shobhit held senior finance roles in India’s renewable energy sector, including General Manager | Finance at ReNew Power and General Manager | Finance at Azure Power, where he led long-term budgeting/AOP and forecasting across large project portfolios, supported board and leadership reporting, strengthened internal controls and finance automation, and enabled funding initiatives including equity and debt raising.
Earlier in his career, he built a strong foundation in business controlling and corporate finance with Fujitsu as Business Controller | India, leading multi-year planning, MIS governance, business partnering, AR and credit control, and transfer pricing compliance. He also worked with Shell India Markets Pvt Limited across roles including Global Finance Lead and Manager – MI, focusing on performance reporting, insights, compliance and robust control frameworks. He began his leadership journey in financial planning with GE Money (GE Capital) and earlier worked in corporate planning with LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd, following early finance roles at Varun Beverages Limited and professional training as a Chartered Accountant.
Shobhit Garg is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds an MBA in Finance from Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Pune.
