Washington DC-Baltimore Area, United States, April 2026 — Julie Van Leunen has started a new role as Chief Human Resources Officer at CAI. Her appointment marks an important leadership move for the global services firm as it continues to strengthen its people strategy across a worldwide workforce. With a career built across human resources leadership, talent strategy, workforce planning, and international mobility, she brings extensive experience to this new mandate.
Before joining CAI, Julie Van Leunen served as Senior Vice President, Talent & Workforce Strategy at ASRC Federal, where she led talent and workforce priorities at a senior level. Prior to that, she spent more than 13 years at Serco, where she most recently held the role of Chief Human Resources Officer. Her long tenure at Serco also included leadership assignments as Director, Talent, Director, HR Business Partner, Human Resources Operations Manager, and International HR Specialist, reflecting a steady progression across increasingly strategic HR roles.
Earlier in her career, Julie Van Leunen served as Global Mobility Consultant at Baker McKenzie, where she added experience in international mobility and global workforce matters. Before that, she worked as Lead, U.S. Immigration at Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP, building expertise in immigration-related areas that supported her broader HR and workforce career path. She also held the role of Human Resources Administrator at Wheat’s Lawn & Custom Landscape, Inc., which helped establish her early foundation in human resources operations.
Her professional journey reflects strong experience across talent leadership, human resources strategy, workforce planning, mobility, immigration, HR operations, and executive people leadership. With experience spanning professional services, government-related organizations, and global workforce environments, Julie Van Leunen is well positioned to support CAI’s continued growth and organizational priorities as Chief Human Resources Officer.
