Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, January 2026 – Priyanshu Kumbhare has taken on a new leadership role as Managing Director & Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), marking a significant milestone in his distinguished global consulting career. In this role, he will continue to shape strategic transformations for corporate and public-sector clients across Southeast Asia, with a strong focus on energy transition, sustainability, and long-term economic value creation.
At Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Priyanshu has built a highly respected leadership trajectory spanning nearly seven years. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Partner, where he led multiple high-impact engagements across Southeast Asia on energy transition, integrated energy transformation, large capital project management, economic development, and sustainability roadmaps. His strategic and collaborative leadership style has consistently delivered measurable transformation outcomes for governments and leading enterprises in the region.
Before becoming Partner, he served as Principal and later as Project Leader at BCG, leading engagements focused on economic development strategies, circular economy initiatives, energy roadmaps, and long-term national development frameworks across Malaysia and Indonesia.
Earlier in his career, Priyanshu Kumbhare held senior leadership roles at Accenture Strategy (Energy), where he served as Senior Manager – Business Strategy and Strategy Manager, delivering award-winning integrated LNG programs and strategic transformation projects for national oil companies and major energy enterprises. He also worked with Schlumberger Business Consulting, Frost & Sullivan, and began his professional journey at Indian Oil Corporation Limited, where he contributed to operations and infrastructure excellence.
Priyanshu Kumbhare holds an MBA in Strategy and Operations from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and also completed an MBA Exchange Program at HKUST Business School, strengthening his global business and strategy credentials.
