Angelique Zammit Appointed as Chief People Officer at AMA Group Ltd

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, January 2026 – Angelique Zammit has started a new position as Chief People Officer at AMA Group Ltd, the largest collision repair network across Australia and New Zealand. Based in Melbourne, Zammit will lead the people agenda across a large, distributed workforce—strengthening talent strategy, remuneration, HR business partnering, payroll governance, and safety-led culture as AMA Group continues to invest in training, development, equipment, and technology to deliver exceptional customer experience.

In her new role at AMA Group Ltd, Zammit brings a deep blend of operational HR leadership and transformation capability, with strengths spanning Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), payroll management, HR business partnering, talent management, and remuneration. Her appointment positions AMA Group to sharpen workforce capability and leadership effectiveness across its network as the business continues to scale and modernize.

Immediately prior to joining AMA Group, Zammit served as General Manager, People & Culture at Total Tools, where she held accountability for HR strategy, operating model redesign, and network governance. During her tenure, she realigned core functions to improve accountability, streamlined the HRBP/COE model to increase strategic impact, and introduced a board-approved joint venture governance framework for 126 partners. She also built scalable, revenue-generating payroll and recruitment services across the network—achieving full salary cost recovery, strong partner adoption, and rapid hiring outcomes.

Earlier, Zammit was engaged as HR Director – APAC at Cubic Transportation Systems, where she drove significant leadership and operating model change across ANZ, India, and Singapore. Her work included restructuring APAC operations across varying legislations, strengthening succession readiness through talent assessments and cross-border mobility, and introducing an engagement platform delivering high participation and engagement. She also strengthened program delivery through improved recruitment and workforce planning—supporting major ticketing programs and enabling more strategically informed tender submissions.

Zammit previously served as Director of Human Resources at Velocity Vehicle Group, leading people strategy, workforce planning, leadership uplift, and integrations across 19 dealerships during a period of growth and technical-talent shortage. She created and scaled a national apprenticeship program delivering strong first-year retention, negotiated multiple EBAs, integrated acquired dealerships with minimal disruption, and built a proactive HRBP/COE model that reduced attrition and elevated leadership effectiveness. Her earlier roles also include Human Resources Director at UNIQLO (where she rebuilt a leaderless HR function during COVID uncertainty), General Manager People & Projects at MaxiTRANS, and multiple HR leadership roles at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company across HR, talent, and rewards.

Education: Zammit holds an MSc in HRM & Training from the University of Leicester.
