Beaverton, Oregon, United States , January 2026 — Cheri Bainbridge, MBA HRM, has officially stepped into the role of Global Head of Human Resources at Safetrust. In this position, Cheri will lead the organisation’s global people strategy, with a strong focus on building scalable, compliance-first HR operations that support long-term growth, risk management, and execution.
In her new role, Cheri is prioritising the establishment of a globally consistent HR foundation, strengthening people operations across onboarding, payroll, benefits, performance management, and data governance, and enhancing manager capability through clear leadership frameworks, coaching, and accountability. She is also focused on building trust and transparency through clear policies, thoughtful communication, and operational rigor, while partnering closely with leaders to ensure people strategy directly enables business outcomes.
Before joining Safetrust, Cheri held progressive people operations and compliance leadership roles at Opendoor, where she served as People Policy Program Manager and later as Interim People Operations Manager. In these roles, she led global policy standardisation across the U.S., Canada, and India, directed large-scale audits and compliance programs, strengthened HR service delivery models, and partnered with HRIS teams to automate workflows and improve data integrity.
Earlier in her career, Cheri built deep expertise in compliance, risk management, and HR operations at Cable ONE, WFG National Title Insurance Company, Meggitt, and iovation. She also held HR and talent leadership roles with Kelly Services, Express Employment Professionals, and Cover Oregon, where she led workforce planning, employee relations, compliance governance, and talent programs across complex, multi-state environments.
Cheri began her career in workforce development and training leadership at Chemeketa Community College, gaining a strong foundation in education, workforce programs, and regulatory compliance that continues to inform her people-first yet compliance-driven approach to HR leadership.
With her extensive background spanning global compliance, people operations, and HR transformation, Cheri is well positioned to build a durable, human-centred HR function at Safetrust.
