Colombo, Western Province, Sri Lanka, July 2025 – Thilan Perera has assumed the role of Managing Director at ITS Grandeur Pvt Ltd, a leading HR advisory and business services company based in Sri Lanka. With over 27 years of diverse human resource leadership experience, Thilan will now be spearheading strategic growth, headhunting services, HR advisory, and outsourcing solutions—particularly catering to SMEs and MNCs across industries.
Thilan has held several distinguished leadership positions across his career. He served as Chief HR Officer (CHRO) / Senior General Manager – Corporate HR at Ascent Business Solutions (formerly Accenture Sri Lanka), where he was instrumental in driving global HR practices for the multinational BPO. Prior to that, he led HR at Midas Safety, the world’s leading private-label glove manufacturer, where he contributed to international workforce development and compliance.
Earlier, he held key HR leadership positions at Allianz Insurance Lanka, a fully owned subsidiary of Allianz SE, Germany, and at HNB Assurance PLC and HNB General Insurance PLC, part of the Hatton National Bank Group, where he shaped HR strategy and organizational culture.
He began his HR career at notable institutions such as Seylan Bank, Brandix, and the LOLC Group, gaining hands-on experience in HR operations and laying the foundation for his future leadership journey across the financial services, manufacturing, and BPO sectors.
Thilan is a Chartered HR Practitioner, holding a Master’s degree in Business Administration (USA) and a National Diploma in HRM from CIPM Sri Lanka. He is a Fellow Member of CIPM, Life Member of OPA Sri Lanka, Member of SHRM (USA), SLID, HRP Sri Lanka, and a founder member of the Young Members Forum of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. He has also held leadership roles in professional bodies, including serving as Chairman – HR Committee of IASL and Secretary of HRP.
He has received several accolades including the National Award for Performance Management by CIPM in 2011 and the HR Leadership Award at the Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards 2013 in Singapore. Beyond corporate HR, Thilan has conducted training workshops for thousands of students and professionals and continues to support social and volunteer activities in Sri Lanka.
