Arkadeb Chakraborty Appointed as Chief Human Resource Officer at Duroflex

Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, January 2026 — Duroflex, India’s leading sleep solutions brand, has appointed Arkadeb Chakraborty as its Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), strengthening the company’s people leadership as it accelerates its growth, culture transformation, and organizational capability agenda.

Arkadeb Chakraborty brings with him rich cross-industry HR leadership spanning consumer goods, manufacturing, BFSI, and HR technology. In his new role, he will lead Duroflex’s people strategy, talent transformation, and organizational effectiveness as the brand deepens its focus on innovation, performance culture, and employee experience.

In his most recent role, Arkadeb Chakraborty served for nearly two years as Director – Customer Success (Growth Accounts) at Darwinbox, where he partnered with high-growth enterprises to drive HR transformation programs, digital adoption, and strategic people solutions across diverse industries.

Prior to Darwinbox, he spent close to two years as Chief Human Resources Officer at Capital Foods Private Limited, where he partnered business leadership to enable organization-wide transformation through people-centric interventions, strengthening capability, performance, and engagement frameworks.

He earlier spent over four years at Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) in multiple leadership roles including Head HR – Manufacturing (South Cluster) and Senior HR Business Partner – India (Sales), SAARC & E-commerce, where he led complex HR and IR agendas across geographies, managed large manufacturing and sales workforces, and delivered productivity, engagement, and retention improvements through capability frameworks and organizational redesign.

Before GCPL, he held senior HR and talent leadership roles at Godrej Agrovet Limited, Ruchi Soya Industries / Nutrela, Welspun Corp., ICICI Bank, and Escorts Group, spanning talent acquisition, campus relations, sales HR, manufacturing HR, and enterprise HR operations. He holds a Master of Human Resource Management from IISWBM.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
