Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States, January 2026 — Natural Choice Foods has elevated Nichole Konyndyk to the position of Chief People Officer, acknowledging her pivotal leadership and impact in driving the organization’s people strategy over the past four years. Nichole has been serving as Director of People Operations since 2021 and will now lead all aspects of people and culture, aligning talent with business goals to further the company’s mission of ensuring good food does not go to waste.
Nichole joined Natural Choice Foods in July 2021 as HR Business Partner, and rapidly rose through the ranks, becoming Human Resources Director later that year. Over the years, she has been instrumental in advancing organizational capabilities, streamlining HR operations, and building a culture centered on engagement, accountability, and high performance. Her deep knowledge of the business has consistently translated into strategic workforce solutions that have supported NCF’s rapid growth.
Prior to joining NCF, Nichole was HR Business Partner at National Heritage Academies, where she supported educational institutions across the Greater Grand Rapids area. There, she led talent strategy, employee relations, and organizational planning initiatives that enhanced staff satisfaction and institutional effectiveness.
Earlier, she spent over five years at HR Collaborative, where she held several roles including HR Manager and HR Associate. In this capacity, she provided HR management services to a range of clients, delivering expertise in onboarding systems, compliance, compensation planning, and performance management. Nichole began her HR career as an HR Intern and quickly advanced due to her hands-on problem-solving approach and operational acumen.
Nichole holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business, Human Resources from Calvin University, where she was an active member of the Business Mentoring Program and Vice President of the Student Association of Human Resource Management.
