Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, January 2026 — Meenakshi Iyer has been elevated to the role of Global Head, Platforms, Wealth and Retail Banking Tech at Standard Chartered, marking a significant milestone in her eight-year journey with the bank. In her new capacity, she will drive global technology strategy, platform integration, and innovation across Wealth and Retail Banking segments, with a focus on cloud transformation and digital customer journeys.
At Standard Chartered, Meenakshi has held multiple senior roles since 2018. Most recently, she served as Managing Director, Global Head – Strategy and Programme Governance, leading transformation programs across wealth and retail banking technology. Prior to that, she headed Consumer Private Business Banking Technology and served as Head of the GBS Bangalore T&I Centre, managing global application delivery and platform modernization efforts. Her leadership has been instrumental in the digital transformation of SCB’s banking platforms.
Before joining Standard Chartered, Meenakshi Iyer spent nearly five years at ANZ, where she held dual leadership roles—first as Senior Technology Manager for Wholesale Lending Technology, and earlier as Delivery Manager for Wealth Technology. Her contributions included modernizing legacy platforms, streamlining delivery pipelines, and implementing DevOps and Agile practices for enterprise-scale initiatives.
Earlier, Meenakshi held the role of Vice President, Private Wealth Management Technology at Goldman Sachs, where she managed large-scale applications and data platforms. She was also an active member of the India Women in Technology (iWIT) forum, driving inclusion in tech leadership.
She began her career with a remarkable eight-year tenure at Infosys Technologies Ltd, where she undertook various roles—from developer to project manager—across global banking and capital markets clients. Her experience included extensive onshore engagements, setting up delivery teams, and championing operational excellence.
