Dhaka, Bangladesh, January 2026 — Apex DMIT Ltd. has appointed Ismat Jahan as Chief People Officer, effective January 2026. In her new role, she will lead the company’s overall people, culture, and organizational strategy, supporting Apex DMIT’s growth ambitions across its IT-enabled and knowledge-based services operations.
In her expanded mandate, Ismat Jahan will be responsible for strengthening talent strategy, leadership development, workforce planning, and people analytics, while aligning human capital priorities with business objectives across the APX Group. Her appointment reflects the organization’s focus on building a future-ready, data-driven, and high-performance people ecosystem.
Prior to this elevation, Ismat served as General Manager – Human Resources & Administration at Apex DMIT Ltd., where she led strategic HR initiatives that significantly improved employee retention through data-driven talent management and engagement strategies. During this period, she spearheaded HRIS transformation projects, streamlined recruitment, performance management, and payroll processes, and implemented leadership development programs to strengthen the internal leadership pipeline. She also played a key role in workforce planning, succession management, and cross-functional HR and administrative operations.
Earlier, she served as Chief People & Culture Officer at BetterStories Limited, where she drove measurable improvements in productivity, reduced administrative costs, and implemented robust succession planning frameworks that ensured leadership continuity across critical roles. Her work during this phase focused on operational efficiency, cost optimization, and strengthening organizational resilience.
Before that, Ismat was Head of Human Resources at eGeneration PLC, overseeing end-to-end HR operations for a publicly listed IT-enabled services organization with a global workforce. Her tenure was marked by reductions in employee turnover, improvements in employee satisfaction, digital transformation of HR processes, implementation of KPI-driven performance management systems, and leadership during organizational change and M&A initiatives.
Her earlier career includes senior HR leadership roles at BRAC IT Services Limited, where she managed HR operations for a 550+ employee organization, introduced people analytics practices, strengthened compliance, and redesigned performance management systems. She also held consulting and training roles at FutureLeaders™, contributed as an Adjunct Faculty at the University of Development Alternative, and began her professional journey with organizations including Banglalion Communications Ltd., Ranks Telecom Limited, Global Access, and Standard Chartered Bank.
With nearly two decades of experience spanning IT services, consulting, education, and telecommunications, Ismat Jahan brings deep expertise in people strategy, organizational development, leadership capability building, and HR transformation, strengthening Apex DMIT’s leadership team at a pivotal stage of growth.
