Gurgaon, Haryana ,India, January 2026 — Urmi Singhal has been appointed as Vice President – HSE (APAC) at Rolls-Royce, marking an important milestone in her leadership journey within the global industrial and engineering ecosystem. In this role, she will oversee health, safety, and environmental strategy across the Asia-Pacific region, supporting Rolls-Royce’s continued focus on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth.
In her current role at Rolls-Royce, Urmi is responsible for strengthening regional HSE governance, embedding consistent safety and environmental standards, and supporting long-term resilience across diverse operational environments in APAC. Her appointment reflects the company’s emphasis on leadership that combines technical depth with cross-regional and cross-sector experience.
Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Urmi was associated with BT Group for nearly nine years. During this period, she held senior HSE leadership roles, including Group HSE Manager and Health, Safety & Wellbeing Leader – AMEA, where she led large-scale regional HSE programs, strengthened wellbeing frameworks, and supported multi-country operations within a complex technology and services environment.
Earlier, she spent over four years with G4S, where she served as General Manager – Environment, Health and Safety, South Asia, and later as Assistant Vice President – Health & Safety. In these roles, she led the design and implementation of comprehensive HSE management systems across India, supporting an employee base of over 130,000. Her work at G4S was recognised with the prestigious G4S Group CEO Award for Safety, reflecting excellence in road safety and risk reduction initiatives.
Before G4S, Urmi was associated with GE as an EHS Leader, where she managed EHS operations, compliance, and large infrastructure portfolios across multiple sites in India, while contributing to leadership discussions on growth and real estate strategy.
In the early stages of her career, she worked with IBM in a corporate role supporting employee health and safety across multiple delivery centres in India, and earlier with organisations including Essar Steel Limited and International Safety Systems, where she built a strong foundation in industrial hygiene, safety systems, and large-scale manufacturing environments.
