Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2026 — Razorpay has appointed Nikhil Mahajan as Head of Rewards. In this role, Nikhil will lead the company’s rewards strategy, strengthening its total rewards ecosystem to support high-growth talent needs, performance-driven culture, and scalable compensation frameworks aligned with Razorpay’s business trajectory.
With a strong background spanning total rewards transformation, people strategy, and compensation consulting, Nikhil’s appointment reflects Razorpay’s continued focus on building world-class people practices in India’s fast-evolving digital financial services sector.
In his new role at Razorpay, Nikhil Mahajan brings deep expertise in rewards, benefits design, and organizational transformation. His experience blends leadership roles across corporates and specialized compensation consulting, positioning him strongly to scale rewards programs in high-growth environments.
Before joining Razorpay, Nikhil led Consulting and Advisory Engagements through a Professional Advisory Practice, where he supported organizations across people strategy and rewards-related transformation assignments.
Earlier, he served as Associate Director People – India & South East Asia at AB InBev, where he contributed to people leadership initiatives in a multi-market role across a complex and high-performance business environment.
Prior to AB InBev, Nikhil worked with IDFC FIRST Bank as Total Rewards & Transformation Lead, driving rewards-led transformation initiatives and strengthening organization-wide total rewards programs.
He also served as Senior Human Resources Consultant at Aon, where he built strong expertise in compensation benchmarking, pay-band design, pay-range structuring, and pay-for-performance plan design, along with leading large-scale initiatives such as the flagship Aon Salary Increase Survey.
Earlier in his career, Nikhil spent over five years at HCL Technologies as Human Resources Lead, strengthening his overall HR leadership foundation.
He began his professional journey through internships and trainee assignments with organizations including Godrej Consumer Products Limited, Accenture, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Larsen & Toubro Limited, i-maritime Consultancy Private Limited, and Cognizant Technology Solutions, building early exposure to HR, business operations, and corporate systems.
Nikhil holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
