Bentonville, Arkansas, United States, February 2026 — Juan Galarraga has started a new role as Senior Vice President, Global Operations and Platform Integration at Walmart, where he will focus on scaling Walmart’s global platforms and operational capabilities across the countries the company serves. His appointment reflects Walmart’s continued emphasis on strengthening omnichannel infrastructure and operational excellence at a global scale.
Prior to this expanded mandate, Juan Galarraga served as Senior Vice President Acceleration & Support at Walmart, supporting enterprise-wide operational scaling initiatives. Alongside his executive responsibilities, he also serves as a Board Member at James Avery Artisan Jewelry, contributing governance and strategic guidance to the fast-growing retail brand.
Before joining Walmart, Galarraga was Senior Vice President, Retail Operations at Five Below, where he led omnichannel integration, store growth strategy, and digital capability development across retail operations. Earlier, he spent over two decades at Target Corporation in multiple senior leadership roles, including SVP Store Operations & Fulfillment, Senior Vice President, Stores & Field Operations, and Vice President Supply Chain & Process Operations. During this tenure, he oversaw large-scale store operations, led digital fulfillment transformation initiatives, managed multi-billion-dollar P&Ls, and implemented operational systems that significantly improved efficiency and customer experience across thousands of stores.
