Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, March 2026 — Omer Aslaner has been promoted to Senior Director, Sourcing – Entertainment at Walmart, marking a significant step forward in his global sourcing leadership journey.
In his expanded role at Walmart, Omer will continue to drive and elevate global sourcing strategies across entertainment-focused consumer electronics categories. He oversees sourcing operations supporting Walmart’s retail markets in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Chile, and Central America, covering product segments such as televisions, tablets, laptops, audio devices, mobile phones, streaming devices, accessories, and related electronics. His mandate includes leading and empowering a diverse international team while optimizing cost structures, supplier partnerships, innovation alignment, and supply chain resilience.
Prior to this promotion, Omer served as Director, Sourcing – Electronics (Entertainment) at Walmart from 2023 to 2026. In this capacity, he developed and executed global sourcing strategies and led cross-border operations with a multi-country team spanning five offices. His leadership focused on strategic sourcing execution, operational excellence, and building high-performance global teams.
Before joining Walmart, Omer spent nearly 15 years with Arçelik Global, where he held several senior sourcing leadership roles across Shanghai, Istanbul, and Taipei. As Head of Global Sourcing – Shanghai, he led OEM/ODM sourcing strategy and operations for televisions, white goods, and consumer electronics across global markets. He managed large-scale supplier networks, secured strategic contracts, aligned cross-functional stakeholders across multiple continents, and coached multicultural sourcing teams in China, Turkey, South Africa, and India.
Earlier in his career, he managed global sourcing portfolios exceeding US$200 million annually, strengthened supplier relationship management frameworks, and worked closely with global display manufacturers including Samsung, LG, AUO, Innolux, BOE, and CSOT. His professional foundation also includes experience at Ericsson Digital Services in technical support operations.
With deep expertise in strategic sourcing, global supply chain management, OEM/ODM operations, stakeholder alignment, and team leadership, Omer Aslaner’s promotion reflects his sustained impact in driving sourcing excellence at scale.
