Hyderabad, Telangana, India, March 2026 – Woxsen University has announced the appointment of Vishal Khurma as Group Chief Executive Officer, expanding his leadership responsibilities across Woxsen University and other group entities in India and the Middle East.
Khurma has been associated with Woxsen University for nearly seven years and previously served as Chief Executive Officer, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening the university’s global positioning, expanding academic programs, and building strategic international collaborations. In his new role as Group CEO, he will oversee broader strategic initiatives across the university and its affiliated entities, driving growth, institutional development, and global partnerships.
In addition to his leadership role at Woxsen University, Khurma currently serves as Regional Vice Co-Chair of the ASSOCHAM National Education Council (Karnataka-Andhra-Telangana Chapter), where he contributes to shaping discussions around the transformation of India’s higher education ecosystem.
Prior to entering the higher education sector, Khurma held senior leadership roles across major global organizations. He served as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Birla Shakti Cement (Kesoram Industries – BK Birla Group) and earlier held leadership positions with PepsiCo, where he worked as Associate Director – Sales and Vice President – Sales, driving market expansion and business growth initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Khurma held key roles with Tata Teleservices Ltd, Subhiksha, ICI Paints, Coca-Cola India, and Dabur India Ltd, gaining extensive experience in sales leadership, operations management, and strategic business development across diverse industries.
Khurma holds an MBA in Sales and Marketing from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT).
