Punta Mita, Nayarit, Mexico, May 2026 — Tonie Hernandez Corral has joined Omni Hotels & Resorts as Director of Human Resources for the opening of Omni Pontoque Resort in Punta Mita, Mexico, marking a significant leadership appointment as Omni Hotels & Resorts prepares to launch its first-ever property in the country.
In this new role, Hernandez Corral will lead the human resources function for the resort’s opening, supporting talent strategy, recruitment, associate engagement, workforce readiness, training, and culture-building initiatives for the landmark hospitality launch in Mexico.
Before joining Omni Hotels & Resorts, Hernandez Corral served as Director of Human Resources at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, where she led HR operations for one of the region’s premier luxury hospitality destinations. Her experience in Punta Mita’s luxury resort ecosystem positions her strongly to support Omni’s entry into the Mexican market.
Earlier, she worked independently with EstrategaRH, focusing on development and training, HR advisory, workplace climate studies, executive recruitment, and managerial skills development. Through this work, she supported organizations with talent development, leadership coaching, human resources management models, and workforce engagement initiatives.
Hernandez Corral also founded and led Turismo Accesible para Todos (TAT), reflecting her commitment to inclusive tourism and accessible hospitality. Prior to that, she served as Director of Human Resources at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts Punta Mita, where she spent nearly nine years leading HR in a high-end luxury resort environment.
Her earlier career includes senior HR leadership roles with Grupo Vidanta and Marriott Hotels, where she built deep expertise in hospitality human resources, talent management, employee relations, training, leadership development, and service culture. With nearly three decades of hospitality HR experience, she brings strong regional expertise and luxury resort leadership to Omni’s first property in Mexico.
