City of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, March 2026 — Zutari has announced the appointment of Maieane Nkhahle (Maieane N.) as Managing Director: Land Infrastructure. Maieane brings more than 20 years of experience in strategy and finance, business transformation, and operational leadership, spanning infrastructure, telecommunications, financial services, and the public sector across Africa and Europe. His appointment strengthens Zutari’s leadership as the organisation continues to grow its impact across the continent.
With the appointment, Maieane has joined Zutari to lead the Land Infrastructure business unit across Africa, driving strategic direction, operational excellence, and business growth. Backed by a track record of helping build businesses in the built environment, he firmly believes that infrastructure is not merely the backdrop to economic development, but rather the foundation it is built on. His multidisciplinary perspective across policy, strategy, finance, entrepreneurship and infrastructure delivery enables him to hold the big picture while staying anchored in operational detail.
Prior to joining Zutari, Maieane led a multidisciplinary advisory firm at Kuena Resilience Partners, overseeing the business across client strategy, commercial planning, team leadership, and delivery assurance while solving complex problems through integrated thinking.
Earlier, he held executive responsibility at GladAfrica Group (Pty) Ltd, shaping strategic direction and overseeing operational performance across a national infrastructure delivery portfolio, working closely with senior leadership to align long-term objectives with on-the-ground delivery.
He previously built deep consulting experience at EY, leading multidisciplinary teams across strategy, innovation, finance, operations, and business transformation engagements for clients in banking, insurance, infrastructure, and the public sector, with work spanning African and European jurisdictions.
Earlier in his career, he contributed through project and business development roles with Elsevier and ING in the Netherlands, including leading cross-border programmes and strategic HR projects following major organisational change, while designing talent management frameworks aligned to business strategy.
