New York, New York, United States, April 2026 — U.S. suncare brand Supergoop! has appointed Alana Kwarta as its first Chief Human Resources Officer. Her appointment marks a significant leadership addition for the brand as it continues to build its people, culture, and talent agenda alongside its growth in the skincare and beauty space.
Before joining Supergoop!, Alana Kwarta built a long and accomplished career at L’Oréal, where she spent more than 23 years across a series of senior HR leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, following her role as Senior Vice President, Human Resources – Dermatological Beauty Division. In that division, she built, scaled, and led the HR department for a high-growth, innovation-driven professional skincare and haircare portfolio that included CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, Vichy, SkinCeuticals, and skinbetter science. She directed all HR functions for more than 800 employees across multiple U.S. locations and helped guide the division through a five-year organizational transformation and major growth phase.
Earlier at L’Oréal, she served as Vice President, Human Resources – Corporate HR (HR for HR), where she led HR transformation efforts for the company’s U.S. HR community. She also held the position of Vice President, Human Resources – LUXE Division, supporting major luxury brands including Ralph Lauren Fragrances, Giorgio Armani, and YSL, and helping develop leadership pipelines while guiding teams through reorganization and change. These assignments further strengthened her profile as a senior HR leader with deep experience in transformation, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
Her broader journey at L’Oréal also included roles such as Assistant Vice President, Human Resources – LUXE Division (Kiehl’s since 1851 US & Global), Assistant Vice President, Human Resources – LUXE Division (Lancôme), Director, Talent Recruitment & Development – LUXE Division, and Manager, Human Resources – LUXE Division. Across these positions, she led HR support for retail, marketing, sales, education, and international business teams, while contributing to onboarding, integration, succession planning, recruitment, learning and development, and organizational redesign.
She began her earlier career at CHANEL as Coordinator, Human Resources, where she supported HR administrative operations, recruitment, performance management, and employee relations for prestige beauty teams. Taken together, her career reflects deep and sustained leadership experience across beauty, skincare, luxury, talent strategy, culture building, and HR transformation.
