Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, April 2026 — Ayan Banerjee has joined SAP as Vice President | Regional Industry Advisor – Utilities (APAC), where he will play a key role in shaping industry strategy and supporting clients across the Asia Pacific region. His appointment comes at a time when the utilities sector is undergoing a major transformation driven by energy transition, grid modernization, and evolving customer expectations.
Prior to joining SAP, Ayan Banerjee spent over six years with CGI, most recently serving as Director Consulting Expert, Products – Energy & Utilities, where he led strategic consulting initiatives and product-driven transformation programs for utilities clients. His tenure also included roles as Manager Consulting Expert and Product Owner, reflecting a strong progression in domain leadership and product strategy.
Earlier, he built deep expertise in the utilities domain during his long tenure at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where he held multiple roles including Engagement Manager, Delivery Manager, and Program Manager across global markets such as North America, the UK, and India. His experience spans end-to-end delivery, domain advisory, and large-scale transformation programs within the utilities sector.
With over a decade of experience in utilities consulting and digital transformation, Ayan Banerjee brings strong domain knowledge and strategic insight to his new role, positioning him to contribute meaningfully to SAP’s industry-led growth in APAC.
He holds an MBA in Marketing from SBS Swiss Business School, complementing his extensive professional experience.
