Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2026 — Pintu Kr. Mahato has been promoted to Deputy Vice President – Human Resources at HDFC ERGO General Insurance, marking an important elevation in his HR leadership journey with the company.
Pintu has been associated with HDFC ERGO for over three years, previously serving as Assistant Vice President – Human Resources and Senior Manager – Human Resources. In these roles, he led HRBP and talent acquisition responsibilities across technology, underwriting, product, crop, and multiple business units, supporting workforce planning, succession planning, employee lifecycle management, performance management, policy benchmarking, and manager capability development.
Before joining HDFC ERGO, Pintu worked with IL&FS Infrastructure Development Corporation, where he handled HR business partnering, talent acquisition, HR operations, stakeholder management, employee relations, compliance, documentation, and performance management.
His earlier experience includes roles with ABP Group, Zee Media Corporation Limited, and McNally Bharat Engineering Company Limited, where he built strong expertise across recruitment, HR generalist responsibilities, employee relations, performance management, and people operations.
